It is reported that attendees included several academicians and researchers from institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society (UK), and the French Academy of Sciences, as well as numerous professors and scholars from renowned universities both in China and abroad, including the University of Chicago and Tsinghua University. The summit also brought together leading technology companies such as Microsoft, Intel, Alibaba, Tencent, Huawei, JD.com, and Xiaomi, along with chief scientists and technical leaders from enterprises like SenseTime, Megvii, Horizon Robotics, iFLYTEK, NavInfo, Intellifusion, SensingLimit, and Meixiang VR.

The summit featured 13 specialized forums on cutting-edge technologies, covering robotics, AI chips, AI in finance, intelligent transportation, 5G & AIoT, brain-inspired computing, AI in healthcare, smart cities, intelligent vision, smart business, and smart education.

At the summit, James J. Heckman, winner of the 2000 Nobel Prize in Economics and a professor of economics at the University of Chicago, discussed the common ground between AI and economics. Companies such as Alibaba, Tencent, Ping An, and iFLYTEK shared their respective focus areas in smart city development. Huawei provided insights into hot topics like 5G technology and its commercial prospects.

The summit presented a series of significant, innovative, and cutting-edge research and practical achievements to thousands of on-site attendees and global online viewers.

At this global summit, Meixiang VR, a high-tech company from Zhejiang, attracted attention by winning the "AI+ Smart City" Best Barrier-to-Entry Growth Award at the 2019 Global Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Summit for its "5G + Smart City" data visualization product ecosystem.

In the process of smart city construction, it is necessary to collect, integrate, store and analyze massive data resources, and adopt AI-plus-big-data technologies such as intelligent perception, distributed storage, data mining, and real-time dynamic visualization to achieve rational allocation of resources. Therefore, urban big data serves as the key support for building the brain of smart cities. High-tech enterprises like iFlytek, NavInfo and MaxVR attach great importance to the core carrier of data visualization, scenario-based application and intelligent upgrading. Based on the virtual-real integrated 3D urban scenarios, they aim to break through the business data silos among various government functional departments, and provide 3D-scenario-plus-big-data visual large-screen operation and management platforms for key urban fields including industrial parks, municipal infrastructure, urban transportation, public security and ecological environment, thereby improving the capability of urban operation and management.
