From April 9th to 11th, the "7th Symposium on New Materials and Technologies for Highway Construction and Maintenance, Featuring a Field Demonstration of In-Place Hot Recycling on Chongqing Ring Expressway," organized by the Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, was held in Chongqing. As a co-organizer of the event, Tongli Company of Chongqing Expressway Group actively participated and hosted the field demonstration on in-place hot recycling.

Cen Yanqing, Deputy Director of the Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport; Tang Boming, President of Chongqing Jiaotong University; and Li Haiying, Deputy General Manager of Chongqing Expressway Group, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

The symposium adopted a format combining expert lectures, interactive discussions, and promotional displays of products from relevant enterprises. Focusing on the theme of "Pavement Preventive Maintenance Technologies," the event facilitated in-depth discussions and exchanges on new technologies and concepts in the design, construction, and maintenance of asphalt pavements in China. The aim was to further understand the current development status of domestic highway pavement construction and maintenance technologies, improve the technical level of highway construction and maintenance in China, and promote innovative development in highway construction and maintenance technologies in Chongqing.

On the afternoon of April 11th, participants of the symposium attended a field observation of the in-place hot recycling construction process on a section of the Chongqing Ring Expressway.
